Casa Tropika

Casa Tropika

-Concept Design-
The design of the building was born to explore the area that has the interest of the setting sun on the seashore. It was born as a concept.
“The new place sunset at bangsaen” The last light of Bangsaen coast.

-Exterior Design-
Starting from dividing the area, the design will take a circular line to divide the zoning, creating a plan in a continuous arched way. The area of the former building has been converted into a cafe with a large glass block facade that overlooks the garden. Inside to add to the atmosphere of the cafe. The bar is placed as the Center of the shop, which resembles a large sculpture, designed to be like the sun disappearing in the seashore, surrounded by a seating area. Below a large tree and a stage by the sea to give a view of the stage, there is a setting sun as a background.

-Interior Design-
Designed in Mid Century Modern style using simple materials such as sandblasting paint or even plastering techniques, the furniture is designed to have a curved, colorful look to reduce the stiffness in the height output of the ceiling. Another important highlight is the ceiling that imitates sunset. The light on the glossy material gives the effect like the sun is also hitting the surface of the water.
Via D-O-E-S, I would like to show you the design work of a cafe at Bang Saen for 1 more. Holiday, try to travel to this place because Sunset and the evening atmosphere are really good.
